As referred to in my sexy experience at Desire (look under Adventures), I give Desire Pearl high marks. We were there in its first year of opening, and by the time of our stay most if not all of the early days kinks and gremlins had been worked through.
Our room was overlooking the quiet end of the pool. It was the standard room and more than comfortable and adequate for our stay.
There is plenty of space to be either on the beach or poolside. At times, the prime pool spots were taken, but we used this as an opportunity to snag a comfy bed down towards the quiet end or just take up a spot on one of the sexy beds by the hot tub. On several days we started and ended our days on the beds by the hot tub. While you are a bit removed from the pool action, those beds are great for sun bathing and engaging in or observing some great afternoon sex.
We were there for around 8 or 9 days, enough time to grow tired of the food if it was sub-par. I can only recall a time or two that we thought the fine dining was below par (mostly due to abnormally small portions). Overall, we enjoyed mixing things up between the formal and informal dining. One evening we went into town and enjoyed the local fare.
All of the staff were pleasant. The pool crew was entertaining and worked hard to get the party going in the afternoons. Night times at the club were a bit hit or miss for us. This was really down to our level of interest in what they had on and desire to wait until a 22:00 club opening. On several evenings, we found the acts and activities very entertaining.
Of course, the great thing about Desire Pearl is the freedom to be nude pretty much everywhere. We really enjoy the freedom of no clothes and meeting people of similar mind. It is a very relaxed environment. If your wife is as attractive as mine, there will be the occasional request for mutual play. Although we had never before received such requests, the polite ‘no thanks’ was all that was needed.
I can’t comment on Desire (the original resort) as we never made it over to sample. We thought about but could never find a reason to leave the comforts of Pearl.
