Kauai – Donkey Beach

I am determined to get naked whenever we go to a beach.  Kauai was no exception.

Unlike Maui’s Little Beach, my advanced research did not yield any results indicating safe and sanctioned nudity on Kauai. This was going to be a bit of challenge. Our hotel was on the south side of the island. I had read about a popular ‘unofficial’ beach for nudists on the north side near Hanalei, but that was kind of a trek. The alternative we chose was a place called Donkey Beach on the east side, just north of Lihue.

Donkey Beach is not the easiest place to locate, but the directions I found on the internet were pretty accurate. There is some convenient parking just off the main highway. Take a short stroll down the hill and ‘Wow!’ What a beautiful beach.

It was nearly deserted. I took a scan both left and right. Saw what appeared to be a naked girl down to the left and found myself naturally walking that direction. We dropped our towels on a nice patch and enjoyed a couple hours of naked sun.

Because it is on the east side and set down beneath some modest cliffs / hills, you will need to time your visit there accordingly. We were there in the winter, and all of the good sun was gone by 4:00 pm.

Kauai – Kawailoa Bay

Kawailoa Bay was our second naked adventure on Kauai. It is located on the south side and lies just east of Poipu.

I found absolutely no internet information to indicate that this area would have even a sniff of naked-friendliness. No reviews or reports, etc. My decision to give this spot a try was down to: (1) It is considered to be a relatively deserted and remote beach (access is not all that easy), and (2) I was lazy. I didn’t want to invest in a long drive anywhere.

Operating on the theory that its remote location and absence of lifeguards would provide an opportunity for nakedness, we gave it a try.  Another beautiful spot. We did have to scout around a bit to find a place where we could be as discrete as possible. The side of a sand dune did the trick. We stripped and enjoyed the sun. We did put on the swim gear whenever we jumped in the ocean, but this was a minor inconvenience.

I really recommend this beach even if you choose to not get naked.  The mixture of bay, beaches and terrain were quite unique. It is definitely worth the bumpy ride on an unpaved road that is necessary to get there.

Florida – Playalinda Beach

What better way to end a Disney vacation than with some nudity, Oui?

Before heading home from our week of family-friendly, G-rated fun, me and the wife decided to get in a few days of beach time.  So with the aid of Google, I researched what was available on Florida’s east and west coasts. We chose east coast and stayed in Cocoa Beach. Our naked adventure was at Playalinda Beach which lies just north of Cape Canaveral.

Playalinda Beach is in a state park.  The internet directions are pretty easy. Just look for parking lot 13 once you are in the park.

What a great beach.  It was an expansive stretch and not overly crowded. The sun, sand and surf were spectacular.  I have nothing negative to report.  Check it out if you are in Florida. You won’t be disappointed.

Croatia – Vis

Of all the places in the world I have been, Croatia has the most plentiful number of beautiful and welcoming places to get naked. With an extensive coast and vast number of islands, Croatia is a nudist’s paradise! I have had a collection of nakie experiences in Cro. I can’t really report on them all.  But if I were to choose a single place to recommend, it would have to be Vis.

Vis is a beautiful hedonistic island accessible via ferry from Split. It has only 2 villages on opposite sides of the island with a bunch of beautiful and rolling nature in between. Just the essence of Vis is intoxicating. The beauty of the Adriatic, fresh seafood and spectacular local olive oils and wine all make for the perfect holiday. Really.

One of the distinctive features of Croatia’s seaside is there are very, very few of what most would consider to be beaches in a classical sense. The islands are characterised by having rock beaches. But don’t let this put you off. You can always find nice, flat rocks for sunshine with easy access to the sea. The upside to rock beaches is that you never have to worry about everything that comes with sand beaches.  Big bonus.

The one location, in particular, that I want to call out as ‘exceptional’ on Vis is the coastline around Srberna. We headed out to Srberna for an afternoon, and what a sexy place that was! After parking and taking a short walk to the coast, we found an expansive shoreline of short cliffs with big, flat rocks at sea level. It is fashioned in such a way that it is easy to pick a private and sizable patch for great sun and easy access to the sea. The relative remoteness of this location also makes for the perfect private / semi-private spot for afternoon sex. Apart from the occasional sailboat passing by, you can have all of the sexy fun you wish without interruption.

Of all the things I have done, sex in the sun in Vis is one of my most pleasant memories.

California – Black’s Beach

Black’s Beach in La Jolla is a beautiful spot for sanctioned nudity. It is a well known and oft-reviewed destination. I decided to include it in my beach reviews, because a lot of the reviews I read seemed intimidating.

It is true that access requires a rather long and steep trek down the side of a cliff. Many reports I read made a bit too much of this point, IMHO. Just be mindful of where you step and take an easy pace. Going up and down is not a problem.

Once you do make it down, you will be greeted by a lovely beach with nice sand. I would characterise Black’s Beach as more clothing-optional than nudist. There was a mix of clothed and unclothed.

Only two things detracted from my experience. (1) There seemed to be some really annoying flies always buzzing about. (2) There seemed to be some really creepy guys always buzzing about.

I find it really annoying when I am somewhere where the boys find it necessary to parade back and forth in front of the limited number of girls in this stupid way that says, ‘Hey honey. Take a look at my junk while I eye-fuck your pussy and tits.’ Why do guys do this?

In all other respects, this was a great experience.  I really love the Pacific Ocean beaches.

United Kingdom – Brighton Beach

The days of quality sunshine in the UK are rare. More rare are the days of quality sunshine with warm temperatures. So when those days do occur, what is a couple to do but get to the beach and take their clothes off?

Brighton does have a sanctioned nudist beach which lies towards the eastern end. It is kind of hard to miss, because as you approach there is a big mound of rocks which screens the views of people walking by on the promenade.

One thing that any beach lover must accept in the UK is that all beaches do not have proper sand; some beaches are comprised of large-ish pebbles that can be tough on the feet without sandals or flip-flops.  Brighton Beach is one of those beaches, and you just have to get over it.

The nudist beach area itself is of good size and can accommodate a lot of people.  It is a popular destination for gay men (both single and couples) and is a bit of a sausage-fest.  On the day we were there, it was probably 95% male and 5% female.  Given the limited number of women, the pervy guys seem to gather in small packs and position themselves strategically for ‘pussy-views’.

I am a lover of naked women and of course I like to admire their parts. I consider it a bonus if I am positioned to look straight into their spread legs. However, I have to admit it did creep-me-out to observe not only this wolf-pack behaviour but also have to witness a couple of them wanking-off as they ogled the girls.  This made me feel the need to always be aware of who was around us, and I had to send the signal on a couple of occasions that I was watching them and they best not come near.  So the afternoon was not all that relaxing for me.

That said, Brighton Beach is a convenient and cheap option for getting out of London and enjoying the seaside in the nude.  You just need to be aware and guard your scene.

Maui – Baldwin Beach Park

On the north side of Maui and on the Hana Highway, right before the road to Hana really begins, you will see Baldwin Beach Park. While we are big fans of Little Beach, we decided to try a little patch of beach that I read about which lies just to the east (right) of Baldwin Beach. We made the trek to Haleakala for sunrise and were looking for a relaxing and convenient spot for naked sunbathing after returning from the crater. We were not disappointed.

I had read on several posts scattered about that the locals are not too bothered by topless sunbathing at Baldwin Beach. We didn’t even try, as I have come to realise that on Maui, beaches with lifeguards usually means keep your clothes on (we found this out at DT Fleming Beach on the northwest side). So, we made the very short trek from the centre of the beach to the right and walked the footpath above the outcropping of rocks to find a bare stretch of beach.

It was unclear if I had found the ‘right’ patch of beach as there were only 4 or 5 people there, and all were in swim wear.  Within 30 minutes, I saw one guy strip down and head into the water.  He came back and sunned himself naked, so we figured we had found the spot.  We stripped down, too, and enjoyed the sun and beautiful views.  So much of our time is spent on the west side of Maui, and it was nice to have a different perspective up and down the coastline.

My wife really enjoyed the spot.  She took some great pictures. For the 2 or 3 hours we were there, no more than 10 people were on the beach at any one time. I would say it was about 60% nude and 40% clothed. There were both naked men and women, so I never felt creeped-out that my wife was the only naked girl in a see of sausages.

The only potential downside to this location is for those who are a bit modest with their nudity. The footpath we took to access the beach runs the length of the beach and was popular with walkers. Undoubtedly, my wife served as some good eye-candy for passers by. I consider others enjoying the beautiful nakedness of my wife a contribution back to society. So no big deal.

I give this beach a big thumbs-up.  However, be cautioned that I have no idea whether this is a sanctioned, clothing-free spot like Little Beach.  So strip at your own risk.

Barcelona

Barcelona is such a great city! So much to see and do. It is rich in culture and has a wonderful vibe. For short city breaks, I give it a big thumbs-up. Not only can you fill your days with as much tourism and culture that you desire, you can also get your kit off on the city beaches.

Yes. While there is not much strict regulation in Spain when it come to full or partial nudity on beaches, there is some sense of where it is more or less acceptable. In Barcelona, I highly recommend the beaches that lie pretty much in front of or adjacent to the W Hotel.

Me and the Mrs were there for a long holiday and really enjoyed the scene. The beach can be a bit crowded. There will be a mix of peeps. Some are clothed. Some are not. Some partially. But no one is bothered by anything. So all is good.

I must admit that after a day of sun and sand, I was a little bit cautious about the notion of walking up towards the promenade to shower before heading out for a relaxing drink. In most situations, I try to survey the scene to see if there will be something amiss with my wife being nude, etc. No worries at all.

No strange looks or approaches from creepy guys as my wife showered nude in front of the promenade. I think most just sat behind their sunglasses thanking the universe for the opportunity to see her gorgeous sun-kissed ass and great tits.

Maui – Little Beach

This is perhaps the easiest review to write for beaches that are naked-friendly. As most who search reviews on naked beaches in Hawaii will know, Little Beach is just north of Makena Beach on the lower west coast of Maui.  There is a bit of a small hike over some rocks to get there, but what a worthwhile trip it is!

The sand and surf are spectacular. On most days, you will be entertained by Naked Surfer Dude. It is a great collection of peeps, both young and old who enjoy the glory of naked sunshine.  Little Beach is a wonderful experience, and the sunsets are awesome.

My only question is what are all of those peeps doing who walk from the north end of the beach into the brush / trees doing? I took a naked hike back there on last visit and couldn’t figure it out. Smoking a joint? Or blowjobs? Or both?
